Will Speech Recognition Software Help You?

Speech recognition software is software that types for you while you speak and it is becoming very popular among business people and college kids alike. It is becoming more popular now that it has greater accuracy.

Speech recognition software was somewhat of a joke when it first came out because you could type much faster then you could fix the errors when using it.

As technology furthers so have the speech recognition programs. Some of them even boast a 99% accuracy and will actually allow you to easily switch modes between talking and typing.

It can give you much more free time of you tend to do a lot of typing and is great for college kids.

In order to effectively use your speech recognition software you are going to need to train it by reading passages that are set up in the program. This is important because everybody speaks and pronounces their words different.

You only have to do one training session before you start using the program but the more you do the more accurate the software will be. If you don’t mind a few mistakes at first then you can just do one because as you use the software it will become more accustomed to how you speak and become more accurate.

Another aspect that can affect the accuracy of the software is the noise level around you. Some background noise won’t affect the speech recognition software to much but if someone comes up to you talking, like a child, then more times then not what they are saying is going to be typed.

If you work in an office or somewhere reasonably quite then speech recognition software can save you a lot of time but if you work out of your house and your kids are home all day then typing might be the better option for you.
