Starting A Photo Blog is Fun

Digital photos are everywhere you look these days! Using electronic pictures instead of the traditional film photos is cheap, there is no wasted paper to end up in the garbage and they take up almost no physical space at all! It seems like almost everyone has a cell phone camera these days that can take photos of just about anything in a matter of moments.

And what is better than just snapping lots of digital pictures is the easy way you can display them to others. There are lots of different ways to share your photos, from digital picture frames to printing them out to keeping them on your PDA. Whether you are a professional photographer or an amateur shutterbug you’ll still like the convenience of digital photography.

One of the newest ways to share your photos to others is by publishing a photography blog. A “web log” or blog is a website that allows an writer to post instant updates onto World Wide Web about just about any subject imaginable. A photo blog can feature the digital images you took on any given day or trip. You can add comments about your photographs and you can tell people about why you snapped the images and what was happening when you took them.

To start a photography blog you just need to find some free blogging software and pick a blog name. Most blogging websites are easy to get started with. When you are satisfied with a post you “publish” it and everyone around the world can instantly read it! You just write your ideas out in a post, insert your digital photographs from your PC and the blogging site pretty much does the rest.

Getting commends from visitors to your blog is part of the fun of putting your photos online. With a photography blog you can not only share your photos with others but you can also allow visitors to write comments on your posts. If you allow comments on your posts then you can also learn what other people like and don’t like about your photos.

You can post some images of a recent trip one day and then put up images of some trees in your back yard the next day. Remember not to worry about always writing a article that’s going to make other people happy. It is your photography blog and you can post pictures of whatever you like. Just try to enjoy the ability to share your digital photos so easily with your own blog!
