Fiction Competition closing 1st April 2009

Participants to write a short story inspired by France and/or the French. 1500 words max., should be written in English and signed off by a teacher or course tutor. 1st prize wins 2 Eurostar tickets to France, GBP 100 prize money and their story published. 2nd place wins GBP 75, 3rd GBP 50. I remember when I was, oh, about fourteen, I used to write my name as, Eljay. Though it didnt sound any different when it was spoken, I thought it looked cool in print. It was in the seventies and cool was the thing to be, after all. Just using my initials was bland . . . too, too, boring.
